Day 1

Arrival in Fes and Transfer to Hotel/Riad

Day 2

Explore Fes with a Local Guide

After a delicious breakfast at the riad, we will start our 10-day tour in Fes. We will begin by exploring the new part of the city and visiting the royal palace and the Mellah, the Jewish quarter. Next, we will head to a viewpoint where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the medina from the south tower and see a few mosques. We will then explore the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by foot. The medina's narrow streets, organized by various guilds such as potters and dyers, will transport you back centuries. You will feel like you've stepped into a medieval town where time has stood still. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at a riad.

Day 3

Fes » Volubilis » Moulay Idriss » Meknes » Rabat [207 km]

After breakfast, we will head to the first destination of the day, Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the land of Roman ruins that showcase the largest Roman influence in North Africa. Despite the disastrous earthquake of 1755, the Roman town still maintains its stunning beauty and impressive mosaics. Next, we will visit Meknes, a city that played a significant role in the Roman Empire and was once a settlement of the 10th Berber tribe known as Miknasa. Later, it became one of the imperial cities. We will explore the old authentic part of Meknes, which is rich in history, glory, and magic. After that, we will travel to Rabat, the current capital of Morocco, where we will visit landmarks such as Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and Kasbah of Oudaias.

Day 4

Rabat » Casablanca » Marrakech [323 km]

In the morning, we will continue our journey by visiting Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, the second-largest in Africa, and the fifth-largest in the world. The mosque's stunning interior and exterior decorations represent the Moroccan craftsmen's artistry and the beauty of Islamic architecture. After exploring the mosque, we will head to Marrakech in the early afternoon. As we approach Marrakech, we will discover different aspects of Moroccan culture. Once we arrive, we will stretch our legs and explore Jemaa el Fna, a square and marketplace in Marrakesh's old medina that offers entertainment and showcases different facets of Moroccan culture.

Day 5

Explore Marrakech with a Local Guide

We will have a guided tour of Marrakech with an official local guide. We will start by visiting the famous Koutoubia Mosque and the charming traditional souks in the old medina. Then, we will explore the Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School and visit several other landmarks that define the city of Marrakech, such as the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens. In the evening, we will return to a riad in the old medina for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6

Marrakech to Dades

we will depart from Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n´Tichka pass at an altitude of 2260 meters. On the descent, we will pass numerous traditional Berber villages and take a side road to the Kasbah Telouet, which was one of the residences of the governor or “Pacha” of Marrakech and features exquisite tile, plaster, and cedarwood work. Continuing along the valley, we will visit the fortified ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO world heritage site and a significant stop on the trade route to the Sahara and Timbuktu.
After lunch, we will continue our journey to Ouarzazate, through the beautiful palm grove of Skoura and the Valley of Roses, to reach our destination for the night in Dades.

Day 7

Dades valley to Merzouga Desert

 we will drive through the Dades Valley to see its impressive rock formations and visit the Todra Gorge with its high red cliffs. We will then drive to Erfoud and Rissani, once called Sijilmassa, and have lunch on the way. After reaching Merzouga, we will be welcomed with a warm cup of tea and spend the night in a hotel/riad.

Day 8

will be dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert area.

We will visit the seasonal lake of Merzouga, the village of Khamlia to enjoy the music and lifestyle of the dark-skinned people originally from Mali, and the Meffes Mines to see how they work there. We will also have a chance to sit for a cup of tea with Berber bedouins and learn about their way of life before taking a camel ride through the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes and spending the night in a Berber tent.

Day 9

Merzouga Desert to Fes

we will depart from Merzouga and visit the first imperial city of Morocco, Rissani, before passing through Erfoud, the Ziz valley with its stunning views of palm groves and gorges, and arriving in Midelt for lunch. We will then continue our journey to the cedar forest and Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Swiss, and finally reach Fes, the cultural capital of Morocco, for dinner and an overnight stay. On the final day.

Day 10

Transfer to the Airport

On the final day, you will arrange for a transfer to the airport for your departure. Make sure to check the timing of your flight and allow enough time to reach the airport. Fes has an international airport, and your journey will conclude as you depart from there.
